Holly House Community Resource Centre, Southside Partnership
SSP Holly House is a Community Resourse Centre based in Loughlinstown. We support children, young people and families. We do this by providing a number of programmes that support the local community, we also meet people at where they are at and use a community development approach in everything we do.
Young Bugs Afterschool Programme
Our aim is to support the development of young children age 4-7yrs communication skills, building their confidence and enhancing their social interaction we do this by providing a range of fun, educational, health and wellbeing programmes including yoga, dance, art, physical play, outdoor activities, storytelling and music.
Homework Club
Our Homework Club offers children a safe, structured environment where they can complete their homework and receive one to one support if needed. We split our homework classes into 2 groups, children in 1st -3rd class and children in 4th-6th class. We work with parents and teachers to ensure the needs of children are being met and we provide one to one support for children with special needs and/or children with special educational needs.
Grinds Programme
We offer a grinds programme for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students, we work with volunteers to provide key supports in English, Irish and Maths subjects.
Personal Development Groups
We support young people by facilitating age-appropriate personal development groups and activities and provide a space for them to explore issues such as relationships and consent.
