Family Intensive Support, Childhood Domestic Abuse & TLC Kidz Project

Barnardos Family Intensive Support works with parents and children impacted by parental /loved ones addiction. We support parents on individual basis and run parenting groups depending on the need.

  • Improving children’s emotional wellbeing
  • Enhance children’s capacity for learning and development
  • Promoting resilience in children
  • Building safety in the home increasing children’s and parents safety and support networks.
  • Support parents to understand the impact of the their addiction on their child’s development

Child Domestic Abuse and TLC Kidz project community coordinated response for children impacted by Childhood domestic abuse. It is a 12 week recovery program for children impacted by childhood domestic abuse, parallel to this is a 12 week Mums program to support their children through their recovery programme.

We work with many parents from many diverse backgrounds and cultures. We welcome working together with parents from different cultures and widening our knowledge and skills in relation to diverse backgrounds.

Services we can put you in touch with: We can connect you with services for Counselling and Therapy, Early Learning & Care, Play Therapy, Sports Activities, Yoga/Massage, Youth Groups, etc We also signpost to services that will help you with Eating Disorders, Mental Health Neurodiversity (such as Autism, ADHD, etc), being new to the area, Post Adoption, Self harm, Sexuality or Gender Issues, and Substance misuse.

Children we work with: CDA & TLC kids for 4-18 year olds / Family Intensive Support for 7-15 year olds

Do you have Group or One-to-One supports Family Intensive support - We primarily offer one to one for children and parents, however can offer group work depending on needs emerging / CDA &TLC Kidz Project – primarily group work, can offer one to if needed.
